How do you sip your Sleep Remedy?

I often get questions about the volume of water recommended on the packaging of my Sleep Remedy product. The flavoring was designed to taste the best at around 8 oz. However, we are just mixing supplements in water, and suspending them long enough to get them into the GI tract–not launching a space shuttle.

I designed the Sleep Remedy to have fast absorption, and to be a bit of a late-night treat, as part of a good sleep preparation ritual. The flavoring was designed with those two ideals in mind. Nevertheless, the supplements themselves are not affected by the volume of water used. Even if it ends up with a grainy texture (as long as it goes down your throat) the contents of a full packet will be just as effective being mixed in a shot glass or with 24 ounces of water in a hydro flask. So, mix to your taste and your preference of volume and rest easy that the effectiveness of the product will always remain the same.

And, while water is naturally a great liquid to mix with Sleep Remedy, through discussions with many of you I have learned of some clever recipes that may (or may not) taste great with the flavors of Sleep Remedy. Enjoy!

The Topo Sleepo

  • 1 packet of Sleep Remedy Lemon/Lime Flavor
  • 8 oz of chilled sparkling water (like Topo Chico or Pellegrino)
  • 1 citrus wedge (orange, lemon, lime, etc)

Mix all ingredients and relish in a good night’s sleep!

Steep Remedy

  • 1 packet Sleep Remedy Apple Cinnamon
  • 8-10 oz hot water
  • 6 oz or 1 teabag tea of choice (chamomile, valerian root, or kava tea have all been suggested)
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Boil water for 15 to 20 minutes. Add 1 packet of Apple Cinnamon Sleep Remedy and mix. Steep tea for about 2 minutes and add honey, stirring until dissolved.

Sleep Toddy

  • 8-10 oz water
  • 2-inch slice of ginger
  • 1 packet of Lemon/Lime Sleep Remedy
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Boil water and ginger together for about 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile, put lime juice, honey, and Sleep Remedy in an empty mug. Once the water/ginger combo is to the desired temperature, pour on top of the lime and honey mixture and enjoy!
